Robit, which is advancing the development of strategically important North American markets as part of its ongoing growth strategy, has appointed Jan Schroeder as vice president, Canada, effective May 4.

In this role, Schroeder will be responsible for developing and driving Robit’s sales in the Canadian market, focusing on distributor cooperation, customer relationships and growth.

Schroeder has over 20 years of global experience in mining and capital equipment as well as industrial technology markets. He has a strong track record in strategic market expansion, distributor network development, commercial excellence and aftermarket growth with leading mining and construction companies, Robit said.

At the same time, responsibilities within the North American organization are being refined. Michael Williams, VP North America, will focus on driving sales development and growth in the United States and Mexico, which are among Robit’s key growth markets from 2026 onward.

Canada represents one of the largest and most strategically important mining markets for drilling consumables, and Robit’s strengthened local resources reflect the company’s commitment to further developing its market presence in the region.

“We want to invest significantly in growth in the large North American markets. This new appointment supports Robit’s strategic objective to strengthen its position as a global supplier of drilling consumables and lay the foundation for the next phase of development,” said Mikko Kuusilehto, Group CEO.

Robit has its own sales and service points in seven countries, and an active distributor network through which it sells to more than 100 countries.
